#Focusrite scarlett 2i2 windows 7 problem Pc
I also experienced similar noise issues especially when there is high GPU load and consequently high PC power consumption (> 70 watts). I am sure that the noise comes through when my instruments are played, as the gate effect is opened once that happens, but it is covered by the sounds of the instrument itself, with the low hold and release times set in the gate, the gate closes once the instrument being used stops making any sound, and is only opened when the instrument of choice is playing, which will mostly drown out any noise to the listener. I loaded a spectrum analyzer onto the master channel and there is nothing. This effectively eliminated the noise, at least as far as is perceivable. Look ahead: 1.5ms (this setting does not matter) I put an Gate (audio effect) on each track that was using an input, I put the settings to the lowest value I could, which in ableton lives gate effect is as follows: I tried many things before coming up with a solution that worked. I had 3 line level inputs and whenever I activated the tracks they were on in ableton I would get annoying noise on them and the master track. I was having alot of difficulty with the same problem, though I was using a different interface (Traktor Audio 6 repurposed as a 6 in 6 out audio interface for ableton live) I too was experiencing noise from my inputs. As you can imagine its not ideal for when im trying to record songs it throws me off. Sometimes it goes quieter but it is constantly there, like a fuzzy hum in the background. I have tried unplugging the interface, leaving it off for an hour, flicking all the switches, everything and nothing seems to work.

It doesn't seem to show up on the track once i have recorded it so i'm a bit confused as to why it has worked fine for weeks and all of a sudden its now giving me trouble.Īny help would be greatly appreciated.

I recorded a short video to show you what it is doing. Which leads me to believe it is the interface. Today however i had to unscrew my microphone from the stand to move it all around so i unplugged the microphone, and when i plugged the microphone back in, i didn't unplug it from the scarlett 2i2, just the actual mic itself, i started getting this loud static/interference noise, thinking it was my microphone i unplugged it again from the cable and from the interface, and the static was still coming through my headphones without the mic attached. I recently purchased a scarlett 2i2 USB audio interface and it has been working great for the last four weeks with my Rode NT1A microphone and Ableton Live Lite software. Hi, i'm pretty new on the recording stuff front, i've been a singer for a long time so the problem could easily be solved and it might just be me but.
